Exalted is great imho. What i really like are the Games of Divinity, a heavenly x-box for the gods. The idea struck me as fun, so heres my version:

Clavier Succor heartens its users. It gives them a form of relief from their woes and woves a story with familiar elements.

An older god selects them as their successor and they must save the world to become a a god again. The other elements of the story, the rivals, the loved ones, the others are second stringers in this quest. Its all about the ego of the user.

Unfortunately such artifacts as Clavier Succor are forbidden from common use because of their warped addictive effect. Its possible to ride the high with a second user or multiple ones though, while the original user acts as a nexus. This ends the warranty of the original rather fast thou.

I've read the first two books of the Stormlight Archive (haven't gotten to the later ones yet) and I very much enjoyed them.

In general, the Gift cannot be suppressed or returned. You've got it whether you want it or not. Returner cults can't actually stop their children from doing magic unless they move into a Null Zone.

Even if you did manage to get rid of the Gift, any changes that have happened to you via Becoming would still be in effect. They're not connected to the Gift, and they're not impacted by disconnection unless there's a direct overlap between what Becoming gave you and what you disconnect from.1 Does that answer your question?

As for the bioweapons: If you can have a conversation with said weapon, it can be given the Gift. Heck, it probably already has the Sovereignty part.

Footnotes

1. For example: disconnecting from War won't take away hardened skin and bladed hands that you made for fighting. It will temporarily suppress a combative attitude that you took on.

So, reading about the Stormlight Archive(neat series, magic returning and a secret story going on in the verses shared background) has delved into psychic ilnesses developing or starting by beeing connected to Cognitive Realm. This in turn warps the users, making them more invested into their powers intent. This is very similar to Sorcerously Advanced with the Self overcoming ones psyche. The difference is that by cutting the power off, investeds can regain their own original self. This is rather extreme in the case of cutting oneself off from f.e. War. Can the Gift itself be supressed enough to provide therapy? Are there even methods of willing supression via Communion?

Are there potential bioweapons from way back then, so integrated into the users psyche that they themselves have gained the Gift? If so, whats their take on becoming autonymous?

Just some thoughts, its quite possible im way off base here.

So something like an SA2 group-mind but less monolithic? I feel like they would definitely get the Gift, with pieces able to use it fully and possibly against one another if they could normally, say, punch one another.

Canonically, the Gift was a one-time thing, rather than something that sits on your doorstep once delivered. It would probably also be easier for that creature to simply have someone give them the Gift (page 124) than to track down their home. Having said that, there isn't a lot that depends on this except for page 124, so if you feel like tweaking that in your game, go for it.

How would the gift manifest in a less centralized intelligence, say, an entity in some part of the kaleidoscope has volition, but some of its components are capable of independent goals and some form of communication, they are generally inclined to work together, but certain factors might cause compromises between organs. how would the gift effect them?

I wonder if a creature that missed out on the gift while travelling could gain the gift by going to their basin, it certainly sounds like a fun plot, a member of an exotic species trying to find a home they aren't sure exists, to gain a gift they aren't sure they will actually get.

Everyone in the Kaleidoscope got the Gift, regardless of whether they were in their original homes. Any Kaleidoscope natives who were outside the Kaleidoscope at the moment of the Gift did not receive it. For hybrid species (like, I dunno, Trogdor or gryphons or something), if they're sapient they got the same pro-rated version that most supernatural creatures did - the less powerful their innate gifts, the more magic they got. Everyone got a minimum of Sovereignty and Becoming.

The real answer on dragons is that I tossed in references to a lot of different stuff while I was writing the game to give GMs license to pull in whatever crap they want that doesn't violate the rules or feel of the game. In my own game, dragons will probably be from the Kaleidoscope, with different versions on different worlds, some of them sapient and some not.

Outsiders with limited volition vary a lot, but they always tend toward the nature of their world. The more time they spend with regular people and/or away from their world, the less they tend toward that and the more they become their own person.

I hadn't thought about Gods, but given what the Worlds Beyond actually are, I would probably rule that they can't get the Gift. Some of them are very miffed about that. The outsiders they create could be given the Gift, though.

Curses and Mystic Servitors do not have Sovereignty. They're expressions of their creator's emotions, power, and skill, and have to either do what they say (servitors) or do what they wish in the moment (curses). That doesn't mean you couldn't use the sort of techniques that create Mystic Servitors to build a sovereign being with its own full independence, but that's a more sophisticated ritual and not the baseline Mystic Servitor. Creating a sovereign being out of a Curse just feels like asking to be punched in the face by it. :)

Basically, the checklist to see whether something can be given the Gift goes like this:

Can it hold a conversation with you?

Can it choose what it does?

If both things apply, then yes.

Edit to add: Things that were dead (i.e. ghosts) did not get the Gift originally, but can receive it now.

When the gift happened, it seemed to happen to all the basins at once, but did not touch those in afterlives, does the gift effect beings that are in A basin but not their original basin? what about hybrid species that could probably have been made with pre-gift magic?

What exactly are dragons? there are implications they are sapient, with their resentment towards the gift in one area of the world, are they from elsewhere in the Kaleidoscope? outsiders? or perhaps just Gods.

What limitations to volition do outsiders without the gift have?

Can a God be given the gift? presumably it would no longer be a god.

Can you give the gift to a curse?

do mystic servitors have sovereignty (presumably, you could give it that part of the gift if they don't, but do they have it naturally?)

Some of these feel like questions that would be best answered in play, as part of a plot, but others, like the mystic servitor sovereignty and level of volition of outsiders seem important to establish. I might have misread something.

It would be interesting to see how a magical singularity would affect our world and to see the results after five centuries. It seems to me that the scientific method would lose a lot of prestige although it would still be utilised in low-flow areas as non-magic technology and engineering would be more reliable than magic there. I envisage high-tech enclaves surrounded by the new magical societies that have arisen.

Ten Crore Stones as somebody's attempt to take a shot at Aum is an interesting angle.

As for my own musings on the Fellowship of Truth… let me put it like this. I know settings that could conceivably have enough power to bully Aum in a crossover event. Where phrases like "Hubris is a cowards word" is the order of the day. The Fellowship of Truth is not from any of those settings(much as they might like to be), nor do they have any connections to such settings they can exploit. And it's a good thing too.

Being the only people with instant death spells they could cast at people they wanted to go away and only having to fear each other for as long as they did(http://suffadv.wikidot.com/forum/t-7001576#post-3919600), combined with whatever metaphysical sacrifices they had to make to learn their magic, could depending on what kind of interpretation you take of the Fellowship, lead to them having mindsets wildly divergent from a typical humans concept of ethics. The Gift made death spells obsolete. Meaningless.

Combined with the cosmic atrocity that afterlife sorting is random while hells exist(Though I consider fixing a problem like that possible for Player characters who figure out enough about the Worlds Beyond to get Aum therapy, you could make an entire campaign of that scenario for Soulpact PCs.), the fact that they're trying to undo the gift anyways, condemning who knows how many people to eternal torment, makes them monsters on par with the Slaughterhouse 9 from Worm or possibly even worse. No matter what they say, no matter what argument they make, if afterlife sorting was random before the gift, from a Utilitarian standpoint they are monsters and the gift was an objectively good thing

There are crossover rules for Sufficiently Advanced. It's possible if you want it to happen. Sufficiently Advanced has different Metaphysics from Sorcerously Advanced(Page 10 Interregnum Edition), and multiple settings that could conceivably be viewed as separate universes(Powder Keg vs the Divide for example), leading to Sufficiently Advanced being a separate multiverse with diverging metaphysics, because the Patent Office's universe doesn't have to be part of the Kaleidoscope and the Sorcerously Advanced Multiverse(Presumed Multiverse, page 215 of the interregnum edition introduces the possibility of doubt).

Page 254 Interregnum Edition

This
section is for folks who want to run a
game where characters from SA2 have to
deal with the Great Basin, or where the Patent
Office’s universe is part of the Kaleidoscope

Character hybridization is canonically possible. Aum brought a style of magic(assuming Aum created it and isn't just tweaking some hypercosmic mechanism) into being that in spite of its dependency on environmental flow, could conceivably remain somewhat operational in an entirely separate multiverse with diverging laws of physics/metaphysics. This gets into the territory of the kind of Versus debates that usually get very stupid very fast due to arguing about levels of infinity. Considering one of the lore options for the size of the Kaleidoscope is infinite… the highest end interpretation of Aum one can conceivably get from Sufficiently and Sorcerously Advanced for versus debate purposes is either infinite multiversal(if you look just at the biggest possible size of the kaleidoscope, and assume that all the Aum titans in all the universes are extensions of the same higher being), or Megaversal(Defined as a collection of multiverses with divergent metaphysics and events(edit: as opposed to just alternate histories of the same universe with a single point of divergence or something) and operating under the assumption the founts and the sources of flow were set into being by Aum). So your Crore Stones Plan managed to hit Aum. Aum is an infinite multiversal or megaversal being under high end interpretations. All you hit was his finger.

Just how are the Fellowship going to coerce a god, who literally holds the fate of all in Their hands, to take back the Gift? Are the Ten Crore Stones of Death an attempt in an earlier age of magic to bully Aum? If so, it evidently didn't work because They've gone and gifted everyone with magic again. The Fellowship are indulging in epic level stupidity here!

"Toxic magic fanbois" is a great analogy for the Fellowship. At their most competent, they're ex-oligarchs with a ton of connections and thousands of years of magical artifacts to bring to bear - but at the same time they're a bunch of privileged behind-the-times whiners with a level of hubris that makes them literally think it's a good idea to undo the works of an undeniable god.

Fuck the Fellowship of Truth is what I'm saying. :)

It occurs to me that the Fellowship of Truth is what the Order of Hermes from "Ars Magica" would become if all the mundanes suddenly got magic. Despite the advantages of immortality (the passing of time and the race of magi to perfect their arts before death is a definite part of the AM game experience), the pre-Interregnum wizards lost a lot of their power and mystique. They also likely laboured greatly over their lore and magic. Now it's something even a child or the village idiot can do. These mighty mages were no longer special. Even four hundred years later they're still sulking.

This horde of unread, filthy, smelly peasants must be stripped of their magic so that Magick (note the capital M, note the K!) can once more be the sole preserve of the deserving, be in the hands of responsible, trained and educated wizards who have had a proper apprenticeship and everything. Well, good luck with that, Voldemort.

So what I'm saying is that the members of the Fellowship of Truth are basically magical fanbois, purebloods to use JK Rowling's term (I'm trans and she has greatly disappointed me). They have that sense of entitlement. There's a reason that the term muggle is so often used in many fandoms to describe non-fans or newbies. Thus the behaviour of toxic fans in real life and elitist wizardly cabals in fiction can be used as approximate models for the general mindset of the Fellowship of Truth.
