It's also a neat one for fans of Chronotech, presenting someone getting used to that ability as it develops. It does kind of fall into the "aliens did no research before coming to Earth" problem, but that might be excused by the "we needed it to happen this way" of cross-time information transfer. Hard to say. Still, I thought it did a good job overall.
