A Sentient created being who’s mind is formed of grain and hillocks swept over by wind. The wind is controlled by volcanoes around the equator, which the wind may control by using a continent sized control pad affected by the shifting of the dirt on it. Originally built by the original settlers to allow themselves to live as a gather society. The GE Grain provides all food needs of a human. The DI went insane when the human built wind walls in order to create windless areas in which to advance their technology (Long after forgetting about the DI.) This cut off parts of the DI’s mind. Notably the parts inhabited by humans are the parts responsible for empathy and emotion for the DI.
The DI reflexively responded by telling the human to kill themselves, and this afflicted anyone who heard the wind through the wheat, sparing only the people who already had windwalls. The resulting society is detailed later on. After ~100 years of the death wind the DI repaired itself enough to realize that it needed the humans alive, and with the walls down. It switched to a Metatech attack that afflicted anyone who heard the wind telling them to tear down the wind walls.
Had been contacted by the Masquerade ~ 800 years ago, but preferred the planet to remain untainted by outsiders. The Masquerade deleted the logs of the planet and left, respecting it’s wishes. It went insane ~600 years ago.
~30 minutes turn around time each way on conversations with it. These conversations requires huge volume, enough to shift the way the wind moves.

Split into three countries Alpia, Benato, Chesire. They are protected by LOTS of windwalls, and a large farmland hides behind them (Also super criss-crossed with windwalls.) Alpia has fallen to the Wind, and the Wind-Walkers(Zombies) are attacking the wind walls of Benato, resulting in a war there. Chesire is falling under the influence of the Cognitive Union, and the media results of this have spread to Benato as well. Communications in Alpia are down/ cut off.
Most media communication can’t transmit sound, most citizens wear ear protection at all times and communicate with sign language. Video chat is the norm.
