I'm going to run a SA2 game with some friends and I put together this google site as a reference: goo .gl/X81inf (remove the space)
The site has a description of the universe (bastardized version of the Patent Office), a list of NPCs that I made, a custom civilization (based on the infamous 'Hegemony' civ from Hyperion of course), plus some other content that I copied over to make things easier for the players.
I've never run diceless RPGs before, let alone SA. But my group is pretty smart and we're all very acclimated to D&D.
Is there anything else I should prep before they make their characters and we start the first session? Maybe I should define what the first mission is going to be?
How do you start a SA game anyway?
Should all the PCs start together in the Patent Office HQ telling stories around the campfire, or does the game run just as efficiently if everyone starts on a different planet?
