Well, I've been a busy little bee and here's my progress report
Denathi - needs emblem & stat block NPCs. Anyone have any insight on what sort of emblem would work for the Denathi? A stylized Psi?
Dionysians - needs emblem & stat block NPCs. Anyone have access to a creative commons image of grapes?
Daedalans - needs stat block NPCs. Given their fragmented nature, no emblem I can foresee.
Alchemists - needs stat block NPCs
Cyborn - needs stat block NPCs
Astomi - needs stat block NPCs
Hectonitheres Almost done. Needs emblem & stat block NPCs, plus some better idea of their core values.
Labela - needs stat block NPCs
Krutarians - No work done yet.
Glade Gikk - Done.
Other Types of Humans
OK, the Labela, the Cyborn, Astomi and Hectonitheres got their own civs. Should any of the following get their own? or just be included as genetic templates under the Technology section?
Edit: It seems like these may work better as societies, sort of like a possible fate for the Mechanicans. At the worst, they act as a single CV civ.
Amphisapiens Bioluminescent aquatically adapted humans
Imtonasi - spider people - minor civ, or Stardweller society?
Sailors on the Ebon Sea - vacuum adapted humans. Good as a Stardweller society.
Homo Cosmoi - microgravity adapted humans. Probably good as a Spacer and Stardweller society.
Highbrows - big brains - looks likely as a society, sort of a specialized Hyperevolutes.
Yas Om - another batch of big brains - may be worth folding into Highbrows.
Five Morph Kung Fu Done! That one was officially a bugger.
Sophism Added and done.
Religions in Orion's Arm - if anyone has any suggestions on what to bring in from here, I'm open, but I think I've snagged the good bits already.
These are sort of societies in OA. Here are a few I'm thinking of including. At the very least they're good for a core value, but I doubt I see a benefit for most of them. So far, I've identifited 2 that look like they're worth the trouble of editing down for inclusion.
Institute for Primate Provolution
If any of you have any insights on any others to bring in, let me know. Please.
Dyson Tree - Colin - could you move this to the OA technology section?
Yggdrasil Bush - done
Buildbug - considering dropping. Not distinctive enough.
Canopy Plant - done
Fullairs - done
Industrial Ecology - done
Reef - done
Road Root - done
Security Bush - done
Thicksuit - done
Turbine Plants - done
Worldhouses - done
Beamrider Network & Beamrider - done
Melee weapons - done. That was silly, but kind of fun.
Space Habitats - done
Synsects - done
Vacuum dirigibles - done
Utility Sand - done
Gecko tech - done
Pandifico - done
Nanoflex - done
Electromagnetic Quadrail Muskets - done
Shadowhound - done
Utility Fog - done
Personal Transport - done
Orions Arm has a host of these, and I'm tempted to write them up as aliens - not available as PCs. Any thoughts?
Mawas - Provolved Orangutangs
Ngagi - Provolved Gorillas
Sapient Bonobo & Chimps
Sufants - Provolved Elephants
I'd include the extinct ones as write ups and maybe some of the more alien ones as background material, but that's about it.
Likely candidates are:
Black Acropolis Builders
The Dawn Hunters
As always, comments and suggestions welcome.
Edit: To remove
Methuselahs - I'm going to delete these from consideration - they're abilities are subsumed by high Biotech capabilities, the Hyperevolutes and the Methuselah society I threw together.
Personal Weapons - dropping. Not distinct enough to stand on its own.
Nanorot- considering dropping. Any reason to keep?
Octogen - tempted to not include them because they're pretty specialized with no real oomph. Any comments?
Superior Genemods - I'm dropping these because its pretty well subsumed by the Biotech capability, Hyperevolutes, various civs and genetic modification techniques.
Tylanasia: Removing it. Its mildly amusing satire. Not really suitable for SA purposes.
Cosmism Dropped. Not enough material to work with.
Etodism Dropped. Not enough material to work with.
