You can plug a silicone computer into a human brain and the brain will figure out how to use it. This has been done.

Neural nets are used to find solutions to problems we can't otherwise solve.

Can the brain adapt to figure out how to use a trans-temporal communicator?

And, rules-mechanics wise, what would that let you do?

Possible: Lose a point of import. Your character can use character abilities to react to the Instance Death Cutscene.

You could also just simulate it with Comprehension: I Know the Future. Instant death cutscene? "I knew this was going to happen: using capabilities + professions to fix it now…" Plus, you have access to all information your character will ever know, including stuff that you'd need to know about to find out about (if you spend the twist).

Or there's Will's Masquerader character, who had Comprehension: A transcendental bird told me.
